OUR DISCIPLINES

Whether you come to us for a quick refit or clean sheet Superyacht design, you are guaranteed to experience the same unparalleled design service.

GENERAL ARRANGEMENT (GA) CREATION

The backbone of any successful
superyacht design is a working General Arrangement Plan.

Our team at ML-YD understand that the most important part of any yacht is a well thought out general arrangement plan that works for guests and crew alike. The flow of guests and crew onboard any yacht is fundamental to creating a happy and harmonious place for relaxing or working. With over 60 years experience we have developed and good understanding of what each party needs and how to achieve a stunning layout that works on all levels.

EXTERIOR DESIGN

Concept sketches through to fully developed shipyard ready 3D models.

When it comes to creating Superyacht exteriors ML-YD has a plethora of award winning yachts that have benefited from the automotive design background of the studio. Every yacht follows the same process, initial concept sketches worked up into a hand carved 3D foam model of the design that is then used as the basis for the 3D CAD model. The CAD model is fully shipyard ready for the chosen yard to develop in conjunction with us. Once the design is fixed ML-YD will manage the design through the build process to ensure the end product is true to the design & fully detailed to the highest standards

INTERIOR DESIGN

The interior of any yacht is the most personal part of the vessel. ML-YD can work with any client brief to create a bespoke design that is luxurious in every detail

We want all of our clients to experience the impressive level of skill and creative flair when working with ML-YD. Being an hour from London our interior team regularly heads to Chelsea Harbour to keep abreast with the latest materials and design trends within the interior design world. We have worked on projects from the upgrade of a 93ft Princess motor yacht up to the 110m MY Anna and all in between, creating intricate classical designs that featured bespoke Parisian fabrics to art deco to contemporary interiors to suit various client briefs.
